Job description

  • SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE

Responsible for controlling and operating machines and equipment that are used in the manufacturing floor.

  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Arrange machine at the beginning of production run to ensure that everything is in order
  • Test the machine before main work begins to be sure that it is in good condition for production
  • Clean machine parts after every production run
  • Set all machine/equipment operation information such as speed, size and shape into machine before line begins to run
  • Insert all production materials in various parts of machine/equipment where they are supposed to be to enhance production output
  • Ensures that machines are calibrated and recalibrated before and after production run
  • Strictly adhere to client job specification and ensure good quality work
  • Update Production Supervisor regularly on production activity and progress
  • Assist with Equipment Set-Up, modifications and machine repairs
  • Assist in troubleshooting production line failures as directed by Mechanic
  • Help in maintaining equipment logs and performing equipment preventive maintenance
  • Replenish and change labels
  • Bring liquid to filling lines and ensure that the correct size liquid is set up for each filling line
  • Lubricate machinery. Replace/replenish: capping wheels, video jet ink and make-up fluid, tapes and labels
  • Adjust conveyors. Fix machine spills and jams
  • Inspect work area and ensures that line is free from anything that can cause obstruction or delay in production
  • Monitors machine and equipment closely to detect any signs of malfunctioning that may affect the quality of work and tackles it immediately to avoid it getting worse
  • Promote compliance with Bocchi Laboratories' policies, procedures, quality standards and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) as well as safety and environmental regulations. Participate, as required, in safety and GMP training sessions, and other company training sessions.

  • POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
    • This is a full-time position. The base days and hours are Monday through Friday, eight (8) hours per day depending on shift assigned.

  • REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Previous working experience in similar Production/Manufacturing positions is required.

    • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Bilingual is considered a plus.
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
