Job description

Verstela is seeking a detail-oriented Solderer/Assembler for a long-term, project-based assignment with a manufacturing client in Mesa, AZ. This role is expected to run about 6 months and involves precision hand soldering, electronic assembly, potting, and microscope inspection. If you have soldering experience and take pride in quality work, this is a great opportunity to join a stable, fast-paced team.

Key Responsibilities – Solderer/Assembler
  • Perform through-hole, SMT, and jumper wire soldering using a soldering iron.
  • Assemble and inspect components using hand tools, presses, and microscopes.
  • Follow detailed work instructions, safety standards, and J-STD-001 specifications.
  • Operate specialized machinery including SMT, wave soldering, and potting tools.
  • Support quality checks, process documentation, and occasional overtime needs.
Qualifications for the Solderer/Assembler Role
  • 1–3 years of soldering or related experience
  • Proficient in microscope-assisted soldering and visual inspection.
  • Able to pass a vision test and complete J-STD certification with 70%+ score.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic computer knowledge (Outlook, Word, Excel) is a plus.

Pay: $20–$25/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM (mandatory overtime in this schedule)
Assignment Type: Temporary, project-based (6 month long project)
