We are seeking a reliable and responsible individual to join our team as a Mechanical Drafter. As a Mechanical Drafter you will
design systems to meet requirements of project documents such as specifications, approved submittals, and contract drawings.
Your primary objective will be to uphold our commitment to exceptional service and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
  • Autodesk Fabrication parts in Revit to model HVAC and plumbing systems.
  • Work with CSUSA general superintendents to adjust a system's design so that it maximizes constructability.
  • Produce material lists based off approved Shop drawings.
  • Meet deadlines pertaining to modeling, producing shop drawings, and creating fabrication files.
  • Communicate with field personnel to adjust and answer questions pertaining to shop drawings.
  • Work alongside BIM team to coordinate CSUSA's scope of work. (Plumbing, mechanical pipe, and Ductwork)
  • Coordinate with GC and other external trades during coordination meetings to resolve coordination issues.
  • Assist in producing RFIs identified during the coordination process that pertain to CSUSA's scope of work.
  • Produce prefabrication files and drawings for ductwork, plumbing underground, or mechanical piping.
  • Help produce and update Navisworks models to Procore that will be used internally by the CSUSA project team.
  • Maintain and update linked models in a Cloud based workshare environment.
  • Work with department managers to update project status trackers.
  • Overall knowledge and ownership of the tasks on the project/projects that you have been assigned.
Qualifications
  • Detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with using Autodesk fabrication parts in Revit.
  • Experience using BIM coordination software. (Navisworks or ACC Model Coordination amp; Issues tools)
  • Ability to review and understand contract drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to review and understand approved submittal data for HVAC and plumbing equipment and materials.
  • General knowledge of BIM coordination and construction processes.
  • Able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
