Job description

Talon Hiring Solutions has a client that is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Draftsman  to join the team in Montgomery, AL. This role is full time in the office. The Architectural Draftsman  will be responsible for preparing precise drawings and layouts for facilities. Collaborating with project teams, and ensuring high-quality project deliverables.

What you will do:

  • Prepare architectural drawings, construction documents, floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • Develop permit, bid, and construction drawing packages in accordance with project requirements and applicable building codes.
  • Revise drawings based on architect, engineer, and client feedback.
  • Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) disciplines.
  • Maintain drawing standards, accuracy, and document control throughout each phase of the project.
  • Review project specifications and ensure drawings comply with applicable codes, regulations, and company standards.
  • Produce presentation drawings and renderings as needed.
  • Support project teams by organizing project files and maintaining drawing revisions.
  • Meet project deadlines while managing multiple assignments.

What you will bring:

  • Associate's degree or technical certification in Architectural Drafting, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
