We also specialize in sidewalks and curbs, drainage, and utilities work. We are also a NJ DPMC, PWC, SDA and NJ/NY Port Authority- certified company.

Full Description of Position:

We have an immediate opening for a Civil Engineer/Project Manager to work out of our Bloomfield, NJ office.

  • Primary responsibility managing NJDOT projects.
  • Participates in estimate strategy planning.
  • Performs quantity take-offs
  • Participates in bid review processes.
  • Subcontractor acquisition, and negotiation.
  • Product research and data input.
  • Attends pre-bid meetings
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse personnel
  • Review and approve progress payments for vendors and subcontractors.
  • Project quantities tracking and billing using AIA forms and all required documentation
  • Manage project close-out process, including all required paperwork

Work Environment:

This job will require both office work and field work. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.

Requirements

  • Milling and Paving experience is required for this position
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
  • Experience working on heavy civil projects.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience
  • Experience in construction project management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
  • Ability to perform detailed take-offs
  • Ability to reading heavy civil construction drawings and blueprints with detailed specifications.
  • Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects under tight deadlines.
