Job description

Construction Manager required for an engineering, procurement and management assistance contract for an offshore project.
Core Responsibilities - Construction Manager:
* Responsible for all Construction activities to be performed during the FEED and detailed design phase of project.
* Act as main point of contact within engineering organisation for matters relating to onshore fabrication of jackets and topsides.
* Working with engineers in developing design which is cost and schedule efficient from a fabrication perspective.
* Ongoing input to design through dialogue with engineering personnel, review of engineering model and commentary on drawings and other engineering deliverables.
* Input to setting standards for content and quality of engineering deliverables across a range of disciplines.
* Working with engineering personnel in developing effective work methods to provide fabrication drawings and material take-off deliverables.
* Preparation of ad hoc project documents eg method statements, procedures, status reports etc
* Providing input into client fabrication tenders and review of technical submissions
Qualifications - Construction Manager:
* Relevant Engineering Degree or equivalent
* 15/20 yrs relevant experience on fabrication of Offshore Installations
* Previous experience of working on FEED activities
Experience required - Construction Manager:
* Onshore fabrication site experience in the construction management of offshore oil and gas facilities
* A broad understanding of topsides and jacket fabrication techniques, work-methods and processes across a range of disciplines.
* Experience in similar role in construction management working in design office environment.
* Conversant with engineering design 3D Cad modelling tools capabilities
* Working with engineering personnel, client representatives and Third Party organisations with ability to interact and influence at all levels across project organisation
* Managing a multi disciplined workforce and sub-contractor organisations
* Planning and co-ordination of multi disciplined activities for topsides fabrication works
* Ability to use construction project management processes and tools
* Working knowledge of oil and gas related HSEQ safe working practices/procedures.
