Job description

Overview
We’re looking for a reliable, organized, and creative Head Chef and Kitchen Manager to help run the food side of our coffee shop. This is a hands-on role for someone who can prep efficiently, keep the kitchen moving, and help us build a simple, delicious menu that works for a busy café environment.

The right person is comfortable taking ownership, staying ahead of inventory, and keeping the kitchen clean, stocked, and ready to go. No diva chef energy — just someone who knows food, works clean, and can get things done.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing food items for daily service
  • Helping develop and improve café menu items
  • Managing kitchen prep lists and daily production
  • Placing food and supply orders as needed
  • Tracking inventory and communicating when items are low
  • Receiving and putting away deliveries
  • Maintaining a clean, organized kitchen and storage areas
  • Following food safety and sanitation standards
  • Working with the front-of-house team to keep service smooth
  • Reducing waste and keeping costs in mind
  • Overseeing the supporting kitchen staff

Experience

  • Has kitchen, café, bakery, or food prep experience
  • Is organized and able to work independently
