Job description

Goldring Gulf Distributing - Panama City

Position: Delivery Manager

Description

The Delivery Manager is responsible for leading, directing and controlling the merchandising and delivery activities within assigned territories. They must also be able to manage and work with all direct reports to ensure all product is properly delivered, stocked and all paperwork is completed correctly.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Monitor the delivery drivers to ensure timely deliveries, proper rotation, merchandising, customer service, safe driving and vehicle maintenance
  • Conduct on-the job training for all delivery drivers and helper to ensure the professionalism and consistent performance from the team
  • Ensure that all account receivables are collected according to company policies
  • Conduct periodic work-withs to observe, critique, and improve delivery performance
  • Have a working knowledge of all delivery routes and if necessary fill-in during sick and vacation time
  • Ensure all Delivery Drivers adhere to DOT policies (i.e., Daily Truck Reports, Current DOT Cards)
  • Assist in recruiting and interviewing of prospective employees
  • Perform all work activities in accordance to established safe work practices, policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Beverage Industry Management preferred
  • Must be able to maintain a Class A CDL
  • Ability to motivate a team of designated delivery drivers
  • Ability to work cohesively across multiple departments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage others efficiently and effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
