Job description

 
Boutique Workers’ Compensation and Employment Firm seeks a legal assistant/ case manager  for our Workers’ Compensation Department. Must have 1+ years of experience. The successful candidate will have experience processing all aspects of a workers’ compensation case under the direction of an experienced attorney and with the assistance of a support team. We are looking for a results-driven individual, who works well under pressure, and can prioritize and balance competing demands.
 
Must be Spanish speaking.
 
Job duties include, but not limited to:
· Preparing applications; petitions; DORs (including e-filing);
· Drafting written correspondence;
· Scheduling depositions; scheduling medical appointments, including AME and PQME evaluations;
· Requesting QME Panels,
· IMR appeals, preparing outgoing correspondence and schedules of records;
· Maintaining and organizing files, and managing case files from intake to settlement;
· Communicating with clients and opposing counsel and fielding incoming calls;
· Must be proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook and possess excellent writing skills;
* preparing the files for the attorney for upcoming hearings; 
· MerusCase familiarity is a plus.
