Job description

Job Summary- The project manager is needed to accept responsibility for a project once an estimate has been sold. This position must be able to manage projects, enter orders, and provide administrative support for projects with general contractors in Indiana and surrounding states. This position will also focus on customer relationships and will assist the sales manager in maximizing opportunities to provide Central Indiana Hardware's and APTURA Group's products and services on customers' projects.
The Developer Sales PM is responsible and accountable for-
  • Once the project is sold, managing the project from beginning to end.
  • Creating purchase orders and work orders for the products and services on the project.
  • Effectively communicating with customers, coworkers, and suppliers to ensure products and services are on schedule. Respond in a timely manner so that customers, coworkers, and suppliers receive the information needed to provide the correct products and services to keep the project moving
  • Keeping projects on time and on budget
  • As needed, working alongside sales-estimator on submittals and/or red-line adjustments
  • Continuously learning the technical aspects of the door, frame, and hardware industry and become a resource for our customers' needs.
  • Assisting the sales manager with daily sales and administrative duties as needed.
  • Participating in meetings with the customer, architect, and/or owner at their office or jobsite

Experience and other requirements-
  • Experience in the Commercial Door, Frame, & Hardware industry is highly preferred
  • Experience in the commercial construction industry is preferred
  • Experience in project management is preferred but not required
  • Proficiency with MS applications, Bluebeam, CAD, and ERPs
  • Superior problem-solving abilities and customer service skills
