Job description

Under the direction of the Philanthropy leader and/or the Database Manager, is responsible for the tracking, processing, acknowledgment, and reporting of all charitable contributions received.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage Raisers Edge database, extract data, create reports and research prospects with an emphasis on database growth and accuracy.
  • Works with Philanthropy staff to determine criteria and other parameters for generating a wide variety of mailing lists.
  • Ensures quality, financial, and customer service objectives are met.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate gift processing, categorization, reporting, and acknowledgment system in Raiser's Edge Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Conducts prospect research, including donor and potential donor research and analysis.
  • Generates dashboard, reports, and data analysis that report on progress toward fundraising goals for presentations to staff, board and committees.
  • Participates in ongoing training and support to foundation professionals in organizational date entry procedures and protection of data integrity.
  • Develops and implements strategic approach to outcomes and impact measurement of the development programs and grants.
  • Assists with management of upgrades to donor database and integrates with other communications tracking systems. Enriches and maintains central repository of foundation resources, including those located in Raiser's Edge.
  • Ensures that all foundation activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, federal, and governmental regulations and laws and industry standards.
  • Performs other related duties as required and directed.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Associate degree in Information Technologies, Business Administration or similar relevant field, or high school diploma and minimum of 2 years of directly related experience in working in the operations and administration of foundation or fundraising databases.

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technologies, Business Administration
  • Experience with donor tracking software.
  • Experience in a non-profit or healthcare fundraising setting.
