Job Summary and Responsibilities
Position Summary:
Provides assessment and therapy to individuals in the area of functional activities related to activities of daily living and upper body strength and mobility for an adolescent, adult and geriatric patient population. Also provides education to patients, appropriate family members and friends in order to restore patients' functional independence and reduce or prevent long term disability. Assists the patients to reach their maximum potential and return to their family and community. Coordinates with other disciplines and implements the programs of the Occupational Therapy Department under the general direction of the Rehabilitation Directors.
Job Requirements
Required
  • Bachelors Of Arts Occupational Therapy, upon hire or
  • Bachelors Of Science Occupational Therapy, upon hire and
  • Occupational Therapist: CA, upon hire and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Preferred
  • one year of experience as an O.T.R. in physical disabilities setting, preferably in acute care or acute rehabilitation. and
