Job description

JAKKS Pacific, Inc., a leading designer and marketer of toys and consumer products, with a wide range of products that feature some of the most popular brands and children's toy licenses in the world, currently seeks an experienced, energetic, self-starter for the role of EDI Coordinator for our headquarters in Santa Monica, CA. The ideal candidate is responsible for resolving issues with data transmission and receipt in addition to working with multiple departments to ensure the accuracy of data transmitted.

Responsibilities include:

  • Liaison between trading partners and JAKKS business units.
  • Manage and prioritize EDI setups with new trading partners and new or changed documents for existing trading partners.
  • Interact and communicate effectively with team members at all levels and departments within the organization.
  • Works on assignments that are highly complex in nature where a strong degree of independent judgment, initiative and technical knowledge are required to resolve problems.
  • Manage daily processes responsible for generating EDI documents and troubleshooting errors resulting from those processes.


Skills & Experience required:

  • Minimum 2 years of EDI order processing experience
  • Experience in EDI transaction set mapping, trading partner setup, testing, and implementation.
  • Experience with IBM Sterling GENTRAN and CLEO Lexicom Communication Software.
  • Experience with multiple EDI standards: ANSI X12, Edifacts, Tradacoms
  • Knowledge of the purpose and implementation of our most common documents: 810, 820, 830, 850, 855, 856, 860, 864, 977
  • SQL experience a big plus.
  • Any coding experience in general purpose programming languages a big plus
