Job description

Position Title: Superintendent
The Superintendent role in Milpitas offers an opportunity to oversee the construction of a podium build consisting of 75 units. This position entails managing four floors of stick apartments, requiring a strong understanding of project sequencing and collaboration with various tradespeople. The Superintendent will face challenges such as maintaining positive relationships with subcontractors while ensuring high standards are met. This role demands problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to dynamic construction environments. Candidates should be prepared for a hands-on approach, as well as a commitment to safety and efficiency on-site.
Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000 / Year DOE
Superintendent Responsibilities:
  • Arrive on site by 7 am daily
  • Conduct weekly Foreman meetings
  • Facilitate weekly safety meetings
  • Maintain daily logs in Procore
  • Document work progress with daily photographs
  • Be the first and last person on site each day
  • Monitor safety and security protocols
  • Open and close the construction site

Superintendent Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of superintendent experience
  • Experience with at least one podium project containing a minimum of 40 units, ideally three such projects in California
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans
  • Understanding of the sequence of podium project builds
  • Experience managing a minimum of 40 to 50 tradespeople
  • Consistent multi-family build experience
  • OSHA 30 certification is preferred
  • A hands-on background in trades is preferred
