Pediatric Mri Technologist

We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. You must have an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology. Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is a plus. Our ideal candidate knows how to operate the MRI machine efficiently. You must be able to make patients feel comfortable before and during the scanning procedure. You will coordinate with the patient's physician to ensure the results are received in a timely manner. Must be comfortable scanning neonates through age 18 and provide age-appropriate care. You should be familiar with medical terminology and be able to stand for extended periods.

MRI Technologist duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility. Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging. Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable. Insert IVs when necessary for the test. Document all procedures while maintaining the confidentiality of patient information. Perform patient care tasks as needed. Adhere to all MRI safety policies and guidelines. Adjust scanning parameters to accommodate a variety of patient ages. Properly screen and prepare the patient for scanning. Identify contraindications for safe scanning. Independently determine when a scan must be stopped due to motion, and assess if sedation/anesthesia is needed.
