Job description

Document Scanning & Indexing Clerk

Clayton Services is searching for a Document Scanning & Indexing Clerk to join a well-established financial institution in Bellaire, Texas. The Document Scanning & Indexing Clerk will be responsible for assisting with a large document imaging project within their Loan Operations department. This temporary assignment will focus primarily on organizing, scanning, indexing, and electronically filing construction loan documentation before expanding to other loan files as the project progresses. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills, exceptional attention to detail, and experience handling confidential documents in a professional office environment.

Job Type: Temporary Pay Rate: $18.00-$20.00/hour Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:45 AM - 5:30 PM w/ 45-minute lunch Assignment Length: Approximately 1-2 months

Document Scanning & Indexing Clerk Responsibilities:
  • Organize and prepare loan documents for scanning.
  • Separate documents into the appropriate electronic file structure.
  • Scan high volumes of loan documentation into the document management system.
  • Accurately index and label electronic files for easy retrieval.
  • Verify scanned images for quality and completeness.
  • Maintain organization of physical and electronic records.
  • Handle confidential financial documentation with discretion.
  • Assist with additional document imaging projects for various loan types as assigned.
  • Follow established procedures to ensure document accuracy and compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
