Project Overview:

The Project is a greenfield mining, process, material handling and ship loading project with a focus on sustaining production, minimise environmental impacts, strengthen long-term relationships with neighbouring communities and foster local economic development.

Job Summary:

Opportunity exists within the Bechtel team to work closely with our customers on Mining and Metals projects in Australia.  We are currently seeking candidates for Document Management Support on the Kangwinan Project, being executed in Brisbane.

"This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership” 

Major Responsibilities:

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Works with Project teams, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure procedures and work processes are delivering the level of information required
  • Creates quality monitoring methods and processes to monitor data entry accuracy
  • Interfaces with internal and external customers on a routine basis
  • Establishes records formats as required by contract and storage requirements/methods
  • Utilize the standard Electronic Document Management Systems (ECMS), Aconex and InEight (Client’s ECMS), to register, control, distribute, and transmit design documentation received from Project Administration
  • Prepare routine documents using standard word processing, spreadsheets, or other office software as needed to support work activities
  • Provide technical guidance to project personnel in use of document management automated tools
  • Perform other duties as directed by Document Management Lead
  • Communicates with client/consultants/supplier contacts to resolve daily administrative problems on the project.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Industry experience gained through a recognized certificate or degree in a STEM-related field, and/or specialized courses in document management, Engineering or related fields, and/or 2-4 years work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills:

The Document Management Support role requires a strong blend of stakeholder management, analytical and technical skills. Some key attributes you bring to this role include:

  • Minimum experience in project document management, including procedural work, customer interfaces and records management
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Bechtel or EPC industry and regulatory standards for record keeping
  • Working knowledge of computer programs for records tracking, archival, retention, and storage
  • Familiarity with quality assurance programs and DRIM requirements
  • Awareness of quality issues, especially revision control and formatting associated with issuing of documents
  • Must be self-motivated and be able to work under minimum supervision.
