Job Summary: 
Dreamliner is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling the day-to-day processing of vendor invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. This role is crucial to keeping our financial operations running smoothly as we continue to provide top-tier transportation services. 
 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Receive, review, and verify invoices and payment requests for accuracy and appropriate approval.
  • Code and enter invoices into the accounting system.
  • Prepare and process payments (checks, EFTs, ACH) in accordance with company policies and due dates.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records and documentation.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive supplier relationships.
  • Assist with month-end closing tasks, including accruals and AP reporting.
  • Monitor and maintain accounts payable email inbox.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
  • Support the Finance Department with ad hoc tasks and reporting as needed.

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or relevant certification preferred. 
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. Sage). 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 

Preferred Skills: 

  • Experience in the transportation industry. 
  • Familiarity with invoice scanning and document management systems. 
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles.
