Commercial Aircraft Group
Our Commercial Aircraft Group (CAG) is seeking a Quality Control Manager to lead the quality control (QC) team located in our West Falls, NY location to ensure manufactured products consistently meet regulatory, customer, and internal requirements.
You will report to the Commercial Aircraft OE Quality Director.
As a Quality Control Manager, you will:
  • Lead and manage the QC team, including establishing priorities in alignment with the needs of the business.
  • Drive a culture of quality that supports adherence to our quality management system and a right first-time mindset.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce quality control procedures, inspection plans, sampling plans, and inspection methods.
  • Manage First Article Inspection (AS9102) processes and documentation; ensure FAI completeness and repeatability.
  • Ensure calibration and measurement system control (MSA/Gage R&R) and oversee inspection equipment (CMM, optical systems, micrometers, etc.).
  • Monitor, report, and govern key quality metrics and drive improvement projects.
  • Utilize advanced analysis and control techniques to predict quality trends and anticipate potential issues before they arise.
  • Apply critical thinking to analyze complex situations, identify key issues and develop innovative, practical solutions through structured problem solving.
  • Lead complex root cause analyses and verify effectiveness of corrective/preventive actions.
  • Coordinate customer and regulatory audits; ensure continued AS9100 compliance
  • Other duties as assigned

To be considered for the Quality Control Manager position, here's what you'll typically need to bring with you:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Technology, or a similar discipline
  • 7+ years of relevant Quality experience in an AS9100 (or similar) regulated manufacturing environment.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably including:
    • Leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver tactical & strategic plans that achieve operational objectives.
    • Effectively leading through organizational changes.

  • Strategic thinking with a proven ability to develop and execute innovative plans that drive measurable results and align with organizational goals.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of automated and manual inspection equipment and blueprint/GD&T interpretation, preferred
  • Familiarity with advanced product quality planning (APQP), failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA), production part approval process (PPAP), measurement system analysis (MSA) and statistical process control (SPC), preferred
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and/or other continuous improvement methodologies, preferred

Salary Range Transparency:
Buffalo, NY $120,000.00-$170,000.00 Annually
