Job Description:
The Document Control Specialist will be responsible for organizing, reviewing, and maintaining technical documentation within a manufacturing environment. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong computer skills, and the ability to work with engineering drawings while ensuring documentation remains accurate, current, and properly managed.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Review, organize, and maintain technical documents and engineering drawings for accuracy and completeness.
  • Process document revisions, updates, and distribution while maintaining version control.
  • Work with engineering, production, and project teams to ensure documentation is current and accessible.
  • Review drawings and supporting documents for consistency and accuracy before release.
  • Maintain electronic filing systems and document databases.
  • Track document revisions and ensure compliance with internal document control procedures.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word to manage reports, logs, and project documentation.
  • Assist with document retrieval and provide support to internal departments as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure project documentation is completed on schedule.
  • Perform additional administrative and document management duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in document control, administrative support, project coordination, or a related role preferred.
  • Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to review and interpret technical drawings or construction documents.
  • Experience working with document management software is preferred.
  • Experience with StruMIS or similar project/document control software is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
