The engineer will design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerized workloads, and infrastructure automation supporting critical data ingestion, transformation, and exchange services.
This position ensures seamless deployment, secure data flow, and operational stability across AWS GovCloud IL4/IL5 environments, applying Zero Trust principles and continuous compliance monitoring throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
This position is fully remote.
Duties & Responsibilities
The DevSecOps Engineer (Data & Integration) will:
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes for data integration and analytics components.
  • Support secure and efficient data pipeline deployment across AWS GovCloud and DoD environments.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to manage and provision infrastructure at scale.
  • Build, configure, and maintain containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes for data ingestion, transformation, and API services.
  • Integrate security scanning and compliance validation into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as SonarQube, Twistlock, or Anchore.
  • Implement and manage monitoring and alerting systems (CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana) to ensure system health and performance.
  • Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and security teams to ensure DevSecOps best practices are applied across integration workflows.
  • Support continuous integration testing for data migration, transformation, and interoperability validation.
  • Maintain configuration baselines and deployment artifacts in compliance with DoD RMF and STIG standards.
  • Automate backup, recovery, and failover procedures to ensure mission resilience and data availability.
  • Provide Tier 3 technical support for deployment troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and remediation.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for CI/CD pipelines, IaC templates, and operational runbooks.
  • Contribute to Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) activities and DevSecOps maturity assessments.

Qualifications
Clearance Requirement:
  • Must hold an active Secret clearance.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting DevSecOps, cloud infrastructure, or data integration environments.
