Dock Auditor Position

Come join the Toledo Tool & Die team! Located close to the Michigan/Ohio border, Toledo Tool and Die has diligently served the people of both of those great states since 1940. It was a company founded on one simple principle: to do the finest work possible for our clients and to deliver on every promise we make. Today Toledo Tool & Die has three facilities in the Toledo area and one in Pioneer, Ohio.

Toledo Tool & Die is adding a Dock Auditor to our team to support our continued growth.

This is a full-time position based in Toledo, Ohio. We offer competitive wages, growth opportunities, and a clean, safe work environment.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 10:00pm - 6:00am, with overtime as needed on weekends and holidays

Key responsibilities:

  • Audit incoming/outgoing materials to ensure that we have the proper quantities and quality either entering into the facility or being shipped to the warehouse for storage.
  • Identify and disposition product that does not meet customer quality expectations (Red Tag).
  • Communicate improper labeling and/or mixed product to appropriate TTD Leadership for disposition.
  • Receive and input incoming material into PLEX and note discrepancies to Buyer.
  • Load/unload trailers as needed.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Authority to stop production in the event unsafe parts or conditions appear.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor and/or Manager, which may be outside the scope of responsibilities noted above.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete pre-employment screening (background check and drug screen).
  • Identified candidates must be able to work overtime (daily, weekends and holidays).
  • Experience operating large industrial equipment is preferred.
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Report to work on time to support production startup.
  • Possess good physical stamina and coordination.
  • Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch or climb for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull objects that are up to 50 pounds.
  • Work as a team, good communication skills, basic math skills, physical dexterity.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking and occasional bending.
  • Will lift, carry, pull / push, and reach for supplies and on occasion lifting (up to 50 lbs.) while performing various aspects of the job.
  • Will need to climb stairs, climb ladders, lift and move objects, requires manual dexterity and repetitive use of keyboard/computer devices/power tools/machining equipment; Wear safety equipment, such as earplugs, goggles, gloves, and steel-toed shoes.
  • Work as a team, good communication skills, basic math skills, physical dexterity.
