Job description

Summary:
The Warehouse/Dock Associate will be responsible for loading and unloading shipments, preparing products for transport, and ensuring the dock area is organized and safe. This role is essential for maintaining the flow of goods within the warehouse and ensuring timely delivery and receipt of inventory.
Essential Functions
  • Manually and mechanically load, move, secure, and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, transport vehicles and containers.
  • Inspect product loads for accuracy to ensure timely and complete delivery.
  • Adhere to safety standards and regulations.
  • Use pneumatic air/power tools (torque wrench, nail gun, impact gun)
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Non-Essential Functions
  • Opportunity to gain certification(s) to operate heavy machinery such as forklifts and overhead cranes.

Requirement
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of warehouse or manufacturing environment experience required.
  • Previous fork truck / forklift experience preferred.
  • Basic computer usage skills required.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Good critical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Good time management skills.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Capable of working inside or outside facility in high heat or cold conditions for entire shift.
  • Capable of working safely and accurately in fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of working in smoke-free facility without issue for entire shift.
