Job Duties Include, but are not limited to:
  • Apply basic knowledge of transportation and warehouse procedures to daily dock operations
  • Verify paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Accurately enter shipment details into company systems
  • Prepare, review, and maintain shipping and receiving documentation
  • Identify and resolve issues quickly to keep operations running smoothly
  • Track and record shipment data with a high level of accuracy
  • Compare freight against manifests, invoices, and order forms to ensure accuracy
  • Report any discrepancies or damages to leadership or accounting as needed
  • Check and document trailer temperatures when required
  • Record tractor, trailer, and seal numbers
  • Coordinate and communicate dock and yard movements with drivers
  • Inspect freight to ensure it meets company standards and specifications
  • Place and remove jack stands at multiple dock doors to safely secure trailers and allow for trailer change-outs
  • Keep work areas and records organized and up to date
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with team members and drivers
