Job description

Position Summary:
  • ADMET Intelligence group seeking an experienced full stack developer to support scientific workflow management applications.
What You Will Do:
  • Build and enhance workflow management features with laboratory scientists (assay request handling, plate definitions, sample tracking, and results analysis).
  • Maintain and extend integrations with internal/external APIs.
  • Design, implement, and test PostgreSQL database schema changes; write efficient queries.
  • Write unit and integration tests; ensure code coverage.
  • Apply best practices in code quality, documentation, CI/CD, and architecture for enterprise production.
  • Bridge discovery teams and IT/Cloud organizations; translate scientific intent into engineering specifications.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in CS/engineering or related field with 1+ years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience building full stack Django applications in life sciences/biotech or similar R&D.
  • Active GitHub profile with public contributions demonstrating Python experience.
  • Relational database experience (PostgreSQL).
  • Django ORM, migrations, and model design.
  • Django REST Framework for API development.
  • Experience implementing robust CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States full-time; Lilly does not sponsor visas.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
