The Divisional Controller - Americas will be a key member of the executive leadership team in the Americas reporting directly to the Americas President and dotted line to the Divisional CFO. The Director of Finance/Divisional Controller will lead the business unit for the Americas driving day to day accounting, controllership and financial reporting. Client Details Our client for the Divisional Controller - Americas opportunity is a standalone division of a Forbes Global 2000 ranked manufacturing organization. This standalone division is a market leader as a supplier to the Construction, Mining, Off-Highway, Material Handling, Fluid Power, and Industrial sectors. This division and the overall company continue to drive growth organically and through M&A. The Divisional Controller - Americas will be a key member of the executive leadership team in the Americas reporting directly to the Americas President and dotted line to the Divisional CFO. The Director of Finance/Divisional Controller will lead the business unit for the Americas driving day to day accounting, controllership and financial reporting. This person will also do all the "fun stuff" as a Business Partner to the Americas President and overall divisional leadership working on strategy, M&A, integration support, and driving strategic business growth. This person will have future growth opportunities within the division as they just made another acquisition, as well as opportunities at the group level. Description Lead and serve as the Head of Finance and Controllership for the Americas region for business unit Provide executive leadership in the continuous evaluation of short and long term strategic financial objectives and offer recommendations to enhance financial performance and business opportunities Partner with cross functional teams and leaders to support the business providing strategic guidance and value creation FP&A business partnering leading reporting, planning for the region (AOP and STRAP) working as a business partner to the Americas President Responsible for timely, accurate, and consistent reporting of financial information, including full monthly, quarterly and annual closing for the region Report to executive management customer profitability and analysis of performance of results and variance vs budget Actively participate in Executive Management Team meetings; provide updates relating to Financials and other areas of responsibility. Develop financial strategies to support growth for the Americas region Ensure process improvements and controls are met, managing standard costing, inventory valuation and manufacturing variance analysis Review business performance and results vs variances to budget, reforecasting and previous performance Ensure accurate US GAAP accounting and compliance and adhering to corporate politices Responsible for preparing the annual 3-year and 5-year business plan Ensure timely completion of all tax and compliance activities for the region, manage cash flow, banking relationships and liquidity Personnel evaluation and/or development of a strong accounting and finance team driving performance while developing and growing team's skillets Travel 25-35% as needed in the Americas region Profile Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or similar required, and CPA or CMA MBA preferred 15 years of experience in FP&A, Manufacturing Finance, Controllership related roles Minimum 3 years of experience is a finance/controllership leadership role within a manufacturing organization Ability and proven track record working with various departments - sales, finance, accounting, HR, engineering, manufacturing, etc. Proven track record of developing and implementing operational improvements to increase revenues, decrease costs and improve cash flow Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications and products, business intelligence systems Business minded and strong team player mentality Strong communication skills written and verbal Strong work ethic and high attention to detail with a passion to win and positively influence a company culture Job Offer Base salary $170,000 - $190,000 depending on experience, annual bonus, full benefits, 401K, vacation, holidays.
