Position Overview: The Education Program Manager provides leadership, oversight, and strategic coordination for Enlace Chicago's education initiatives, ensuring the effective implementation of high-quality programs that support youth, families, and schools. Working across multiple sites and program areas, the Manager oversees program planning, staff supervision, partnership development, grant compliance, and continuous improvement efforts to advance educational equity, youth development, family engagement, and community impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership & Strategic Implementation
  • Leads the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of education programs across multiple sites, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, school priorities, and community needs.

Compliance, Data Management & Grant Oversight
  • Ensures full compliance with public and private funding requirements by overseeing reporting, data collection, evaluation processes, and timely submission of all required documentation.

Staff Supervision & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Supervises and supports site-based coordinators and staff while serving as a liaison between schools, leadership teams, and external partners to promote collaboration, communication, and accountability.

  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively supervise, support, and develop staff while fostering accountability, collaboration, and high-quality program implementation across teams.

Program Management & Operational Excellence
  • Demonstrates strong skills in planning, coordinating, and managing multiple programs and priorities while ensuring timelines, deliverables, and goals are met in alignment with organizational and funding requirements.

Communication, Engagement & Cultural Responsiveness
  • Demonstrates strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills to effectively engage youth, families, and community partners while promoting inclusive and culturally responsive practices.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in education or social service required or 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Bilingual Spanish/English (speaking and writing) required

Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is between 60k and 65k. Salary is commensurate with experience in addition to the generous benefits package listed below.

  • Health benefits . Enlace Chicago offers you and your family access to a low-cost comprehensive health care plan, which includes medical (Bluecross Blue Shield), dental (Unum), and vision (EyeMed) coverage.
  • Enlace Chicago also provides life insurance coverage and short-term and long-term disability insurance at no cost to you with options of additional coverage.
  • Retirement program . Enlace Chicago offers a voluntary 403(B) plan which begins at a 1% contribution. Enrollment is available after a 90-day grace period beginning on the first day of employment. An enrollment packet will be mailed to you.
  • Paid time off . You will receive 96 hours of Upon Hire hours, which will be prorated depending on your start date. After your 3rd month, you will accrue 3.33 hours per pay period or a total of 6.66 per month . All vacation days are considered above and beyond the approved holiday schedule. Enlace has 12 paid holidays with a Holiday week between Christmas and New Year's Day that will not be deducted from your PTO.
