Description

Hamilton Telecommunications is seeking a full-time Assistant Accounting Manager for the corporate office in Aurora, NE. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who wants to expand technical skills, gain broad hands-on experience, and grow into greater responsibility. This position will support billing, reconciliations, compliance, and month-end processes while working closely with leadership in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support monthly billing processes across multiple service lines and ensure accuracy.
  • Reconcile billing systems, bank activity, and general ledger accounts; investigate discrepancies.
  • Review revenue, taxes, and related transactions for compliance and accuracy.
  • Assist with accounts payable, cash application, and vendor/customer inquiry resolution.
  • Contribute to month-end and year-end close activities and related reporting.
  • Prepare and support compliance filings, including tax and 1099 reporting.
  • Help improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and process efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Requires 5+ years of public or private accounting sector experience. CPA preferred but not required.
  • Strong Excel, analytical, reconciliation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement.
