This position offers the opportunity to shape packaging excellence in a cutting-edge organization revolutionizing manufacturing through innovative technologies.

The Role
  • Lead design, development, quoting, and procurement of packaging solutions for outbound finished goods for both automotive and aerospace & defense programs.
  • Support cross-functional coordination with Program Management, Design Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Logistics to ensure packaging solutions meet technical baselines.
  • Implement packaging designs and preservation methods that protect critical hardware during processing, transportation, storage, and deployment.
  • Generate and maintain controlled packaging documentation including drawings, specifications, work instructions, test reports, and marking and labeling instructions.
  • Ensure labeling meets all applicable military, hazardous material, serialization, traceability, and shipping requirements.

  • Interface with suppliers and third-party test laboratories to support material qualification and certification activities.
  • Assist in packaging risk assessments, failure investigations, and corrective action implementation.
  • Support audit readiness activities and compliance reviews.
  • Lead packaging development and strategy from initial design through launch for new programs
  • Review inbound packaging solutions across highest spend commodities, and work with suppliers and vendors to improve packaging solutions that will increase utilization/reduce packaging piece costs.
  • Design lineside conveyance solutions to support both vehicle and printed part manufacturing.
  • Provide systematic support regarding sub-inventory and locator naming conventions, labeling standards, and warehouse scan-ability.
  • Serve as packaging SME (subject matter expert) on cross-functional teams with engineering, R&D, finance, compliance, and customer support.
Basic Qualifications

• Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls.
• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
