Tennis - Head Girls Coach - High School
Primary Purpose
Coffeyville School District, No. 445, is currently accepting applications for the high school girls Head Tennis Coach position. The coaching position will be in charge of the program for Field Kindley High School and would report to the Athletic/Activities Director and the building Principal.
Qualifications Profile
  • Experience as a tennis participant required.
  • Experience coaching tennis is preferred
  • TB Skin Test/Physical completed and on file
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Valid driver's license or state issued ID

Essential Job Functions
  • Planning practices and providing instruction on golf technique.
  • Travel and Shuttling of students to and from meets
  • Provides guidance and direction to participants and any assistant coaches.
  • Coordinates communication with Athletic Director and media outlets with upcoming activities and results of competitions.
  • Oversee the care, storage, collection and management of uniforms and equipment.
  • The head coaching position will oversee any assistant coaches for the program.
  • Recruit and develop athletes to be a part of the program.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Has a thorough knowledge of all the athletic policies approved by the Board of Education and is responsible for their implementation by the entire staff of the sports program.
  • Has knowledge of existing system, state and league regulations; implements consistently and interprets them for staff.
  • Understands the proper administrative line of command and refers all requests or grievances through proper channels. Is aware of all public/staff/departmental meetings that require attendance.
  • Follows established procedures set by the school board and KSHSAA.
  • Promote an appreciation of physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
  • Communicate effectively with all members of the school district and community.
  • Work effectively with booster clubs and other community organizations.
  • React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned.
  • Support the philosophy and vision of U.S.D. 445.

Physical Requirement/Mental Demands/Environmental Conditions
  • Requires the ability to maintain emotional control while under stress.
  • Requires the ability to frequently stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Requires the ability to walk frequently.
  • Requires the ability to use standard office equipment including computer and peripherals and other instructional equipment for prolonged periods of time.
  • Requires the ability to frequently use repetitive hand motions, including keyboarding and mouse use.
  • Requires the ability to frequently kneel/squat, bend/stoop, push/pull, twist, or reach.
  • Requires the ability to frequently lift and carry items 25 lbs.
  • Requires the ability to periodically lift and carry items 50 lbs.
  • Requires the ability to work and concentrate in noisy and crowded environments.
  • Requires the ability to work with frequent interruptions.
  • Requires the ability to work outside with exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures.
  • Requires timeliness and regular attendance and/or physical presence at the job.
  • Works in standard office and school building environments.
