Job description

I am a district fire chief in Des Moines and work recurring 24/48 shifts. Iโ€™m on shift for 24 hours and then have 48 hours off. On weekdays, my boys have practices after school, football and soccer. My oldest should be getting a school permit here soon, so that will help out. We live in the country, 4 miles south of Norwalk, about 7 miles from the school. They may need a ride or two into town, and then just help with dinner. I would need you too stay overnight in the guest bedroom, in case of emergencies, or if they need anything. Start time could be flexible depending on the day and activities they have. I get home from work around 6:30 AM. If you needed to leave sooner for whatever reason, other work, or school, that would be fine. On the weekend days I work, start time could be flexible as well depending on any games or practices they may have. I paid my last nanny $18/hour until 10pm (bedtime) and then a flat $120 for the overnight. She is moving away for college, so I need to find someone new. This app wonโ€™t let me put in this payment agreement, but it is what it is would like moving forward.

Qualifications

  • A love of working with children
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Passion for helping others
