**This position starts as Full time with a training period up to 24 weeks*

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Distribution Clerk ensures the accurate, efficient, and safe receipt, processing, storage, and delivery of all supplies and equipment purchased by the medical center. Responsible for the routine daily tasks associated with the distribution processes, including: inventory and replenishment procedures, cleaning of work spaces and par bins, computer entry of patient charges, issuing equipment and completing dirty equipment rounds.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

Minimum:

One year healthcare experience OR one (1) year warehouse/distribution experience including receiving, shipping, inspecting, documenting, storage, and delivering supplies and equipment OR have successfully completed two (2) ROP rotations in the Central Services or Distribution Warehouse departments.

Desired:

  • Prior healthcare experience
  • Computer skills
  • Medical Terminology

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

Minimum:

  • Valid California Driver's License
  • Eligible to be insured under the Medical Center's Liability Policy with DMV Report (and minimum age 21)

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

Capable of using computerized Materials Management Information System. Knowledge of inventory management and distribution procedures. Knowledge of medical supplies and equipment desired. Good communication and interpersonal skills with strong customer service emphasis. Must be able to follow instructions, and work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment including multi-tasking. Able to use hand trucks, flat carts, pallet jacks, and dock lift. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
