Position Summary
The Junior Outside Sales Representative is responsible for developing and growing INCOM's business throughout Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. This role focuses on expanding existing distributor and end-user accounts, converting competitors' business, and identifying new opportunities throughout the territory.
Working closely with the Sales team, you will build long-term customer relationships through regular face-to-face meetings and proactive prospecting. Success in this role comes from understanding customer challenges, delivering practical safety solutions, and consistently identifying opportunities to grow both existing and new accounts.
This is a field-based position, with the majority of your time spent visiting customers, conducting joint sales calls with distributor partners, and developing relationships that drive long-term territory growth.

INCOM Manufacturing Group is a North American manufacturer of industrial safety identification products, including safety signs, tags, industrial tapes, lockout/tagout products, warehouse identification, and custom safety solutions.
We serve distributors and end users across a wide range of industrial markets and are continuing to expand our U.S. sales presence.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a territory business plan focused on sustainable sales growth.
  • Increase revenue by converting competitors' business, developing new accounts, and expanding existing customer relationships,
  • Prospect and generate new leads through networking, cold calling, referrals, customer visits, industry events, and market research.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with industrial distributors while identifying and developing new distribution partners.
  • Conduct regular face-to-face meetings with distributors and end users to understand their operations, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Perform joint sales calls alongside distributor sales teams to generate new business and increase market penetration.
  • Prepare quotations, follow up on opportunities, negotiate business when appropriate, and manage customer expectations throughout the sales process.
  • Deliver professional product presentations and recommend INCOM safety solutions that address customer requirements.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurately document customer interactions, opportunities, and follow-up activities within the company's CRM.
  • Collaborate with customer service and other internal teams to ensure an outstanding customer experience.
  • Assist customers by coordinating internal resources to resolve issues and provide timely solutions.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities throughout the territory.
  • Represent INCOM professionally at trade shows, customer events, and industry functions.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-5 years of outside sales or B2B sales experience.
  • Industrial, manufacturing, MRO, safety, or distribution experience is considered an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while remaining highly coachable.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable delivering presentations and communicating technical product information to customers.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; CRM experience is considered an asset.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel throughout Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma, including occasional overnight travel.

Travel & Territory Expectations
  • This position is based in the Houston, Texas area and covers Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. The successful candidate will be expected to spend approximately 12 to 15 business days per month in the field visiting customers throughout the assigned territory, with a primary focus on the East Texas area.
  • Overnight travel will be required to support this market. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel throughout the territory are required.
