JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Trade Marketing Manager, the Luxury Market Development Manager leads the expansion of
the Don Ramón Tequila premium portfolio within luxury restaurants, upscale bars, hotels, and other high-end on-premise accounts.
Acting as a vital liaison between the Don Ramon Brand team (MX Based) and the Mexcor International sales team, this position will be instrumental in opening new accounts, building strong relationships with key decision-makers, increasing premium brand visibility, and delivering exceptional brand experiences through education, events, and strategic partnerships.
Success is measured by new account growth, menu placements, staff engagement, and achievement of sales objectives. This is not a maintenance role. This is about building the brand presence in the right places, shaping perception, and creating memorable experiences.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Identify, develop, and open new high-end on-premise accounts within assigned markets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, general managers, beverage directors, and influential hospitality professionals
  • Drive premium menu placements, featured cocktails, back-bar visibility, and brand activation opportunities
  • Plan and execute luxury events, tastings, consumer activations, and curated brand experiences
  • Conduct engaging product education sessions and staff training to increase product knowledge and advocacy
  • Collaborate with distributor sales teams to identify opportunities, execute market strategies, and accelerate account growth
  • Manage an active portfolio of target accounts through regular visits, relationship building, and business development.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities.
  • Achieve monthly sales, distribution, and brand activation objectives while maintaining the premium image of Don Ramón Tequila.

What Success Looks Like
  • Opening 6-10 new key on-premise accounts each month.
  • Managing 80-100 active target accounts.
  • Securing 2-4 new menu placements each month.
  • Achieving monthly case volume goals by market.
  • Executing 6-8 premium events or tastings per month.
  • Delivering 4-6 staff education and training sessions per month.
  • Expanding brand visibility within high-profile venues and through social media exposure.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time may include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or mobile device

  • Requires driving daily to and from accounts within assigned territories

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Established network within luxury restaurants, hotels, bars, and upscale hospitality venues
  • Demonstrated success opening new accounts and increasing premium brand distribution
  • Experience representing premium or luxury beverage brands
  • Exceptional relationship-building, presentation, and storytelling skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and deliver measurable results
  • Passion for premium spirits and creating memorable consumer experiences
  • 21 years or older
  • This is a hybrid role that includes a combination of remote work, in-office meetings, and approximately 25% travel
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish is highly preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Sales Performance platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-driven mindset
  • Hold a valid and current driver's license and ensure reliable, insured transportation is maintained
  • Driving record must be within MVR policy guidelines throughout employment
  • The policy must include the following minimum coverage: $100,000 for bodily injury, $300,000 for liability, and $50,000 for property damage
  • This position requires flexibility, including but not limited to availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
  • Must be able to pass a background and drug screening for hire and randomly throughout employment
