Area Business Manager- LATAM

We are seeking a Area Business Manager- LATAM to play a key role in growing and supporting our business throughout the region. This role is designed for an experienced sales professional who can identify market opportunities, build and support distributor relationships, and develop direct sales accounts to drive growth within their area of responsibility.
This is a 100% remote, home office-based position supporting customers throughout the LATAM Territory. Candidates located throughout the territory with a focus on Miami, South Florida, Orlando and Texas are encouraged to apply. Regular travel throughout the territory (up to 60%) is required.
To Be Considered for This Position, Candidates Must Have the Following Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar sales role
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English to support territory
• Experience within microbiology preferred
• Distributor management experience preferred
• Experience working with a CRM system such as Salesforce preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and internet programs
• Ability to effectively manage customer relationships and travel throughout the LATAM Territory

What You'll Do
Distributor and Account Management
• Establish distribution networks and direct sales accounts
• Set sales goals and growth expectations for distributors, monitor their performance, and support successful execution
• Provide support and training to distributors to help achieve projected growth
• Maintain current distributor contact information, financial information, distribution agreements, and marketing agent information to support communication with Customer Service, Accounting, and other departments
Market Development and Sales Planning
• Identify target markets and key decision makers and investigate and initiate market studies
• Prepare annual sales projections and expense estimates
• Provide periodic overviews of activities, including budget allocation, when requested by management
• Provide strategic sales support by measuring product sales performance through tools such as control charts and sales patterns
Compliance and Market Oversight
• Follow Compliance department requirements and adhere to national and international guidelines and standards
• Monitor license piracy and report violations to the Director of International Sales for appropriate contract compliance follow up with culture collections
• Monitor fraudulent competition and report concerns to the Director of International Sales
• With permission from the Director of International Sales and in coordination with the local distributor, communicate with government agencies, ministries, and culture collections regarding piracy and existing license infringements
Global Sales Support
• Contribute to marketing plans and goals within the assigned geographic or market area
• Maintain superior customer service while providing ongoing support to distribution channels
• Provide continued feedback to help distribution partners meet their goals
• Perform other duties within Global Sales or other areas as assigned while maintaining an organized work environment and following company policies, rules, and safety practices

Additional Requirements

• Ability to regularly stand, walk, and sit and occasionally stoop, climb, or balance
• This is a full time, salaried, remote position with a Monday through Friday schedule
• This is a 100% remote, home office-based position requiring regular travel to customer locations throughout the LATAM Territory.

Hiring Range: $86,020-$107,525
Starting salary is determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, and market factors. This position will also include a variable commission plan.
