Job description

Distribution Technician I

West Palm Beach 
Must have all qualifications of Distribution Technician II and in addition:
1. Must have worked as a Distribution Technician II for thirty six (36) months or have had
equivalent experience.
2. Must have successfully completed the applicable course on Corrosion control.
3. Must be qualified to make plastic fused and mechanical joints.
4. Must be able to operate and perform minor maintenance on trenchers, backhoes, and boring
equipment if and when they become available.
5. Must be familiar with Federal, State and Local rules and regulations applicable to their job.
6. Must be familiar with provisions in and applications of NFPA 54, NFPA 58, Florida Building
Fuel Gas Code and any state required gas code.
7. Must be familiar with the operation and maintenance requirements of the gas distribution
system.
8. Required to be On Call Duty rotation.
9. Must be able to pass the requirements outlined in the Training Grid associated with this
position.
