About the Role:

As a Director of Transmission & Distribution Services, you will be responsible for overseeing transmission and distribution operations. Responsibilities will include setting the direction for the teams, the overall quality and timeliness of work produced, monitoring short-term and long-term workload, group adherence to standards and procedures, coaching and developing employees, sponsoring initiatives for process improvements, and client management and new client development.

This role will also be involved in business development across the U.S. to obtain clients and projects for transmission and distribution engineering.


What You Will Be Doing:

  • Ability to maintain transmission and distribution client relationships and develop new ones
  • Manage/supervise transmission and distribution engineers and designers across multiple regional offices
  • Assist with building of teams across multiple offices by helping to identify and interview candidates
  • Assist with opening of new regional offices
  • Oversee the development of internal transmission and distribution engineering standards, processes, and procedures
  • Participate in strategic growth planning and company initiatives, which may include establishing business strategies and objectives
  • Ability to support the roles and responsibilities of the transmission and distribution engineering manager, when necessary
  • Assist with developing and achieving transmission and distribution engineering annual revenue and growth goals

What You Bring:

  • BS or MS in Engineering (required)
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in a combination of transmission and distribution engineering, utility consulting, project management, and business development (required)
  • Professional engineering licensure (required)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred)
  • Experience managing staff and projects as a project manager and/or client lead
  • Ability to travel up to 20% and work outside normal business hours
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate technical matters in an understandable and efficient manner
  • Ability to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the companyโ€™s driving (MVR) policy
