Job description


The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for meeting the sales objectives for Fiber Glass System business unit within NOV in the Rockies/PNW US region and customers in the Chemical & Industrial market. This role leads sales activity in the region with independent area sales managers, representatives & distributors, developing project specific sales strategies and communicating project requirements to the company's manufacturing operations, construction divisions and management team.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead and achieve Fiber Glass Systems sales and business development objectives for fiberglass piping and tank solutions in the assigned region.
  • Target new customers, new applications and follow on sales leads.
  • Assists in establishing a realistic sales quota for the assigned region/Customer; generates and maintains sales volume to meet or exceed established quota; prepares sales forecasts.
  • Drive disciplined sales execution, including activity tracking, pipeline management, and CRM utilization to deliver regular reporting on sales performance, opportunities, and market conditions.
  • Initiate regional sales calls and training seminars with area distributors and representatives
  • Instruct distributors, contractors and customers concerning product applications
  • Communicate & coordinate with management, peers and Sales Director with regard to cross-region project sales activity requirements.
  • Visit customer facilities and/or jobsites to monitor project progress and customer satisfaction.
  • Remain current in knowledge of competitive activities including product lines, pricing, services, market penetration.
  • Participate in trade shows, customer events within FGS and NOV

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5-10+ years of relevant technical sales experience, preferably in piping systems, tanks, composites, or related products
  • Experience managing independent representatives and distributors.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field is preferred.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to engage with technical stakeholders and have excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Previous customer-facing experience.
  • Candidate must be able to work independently in a home-based office.
  • Significant domestic travel is required. Overnight Travel required 25%.
  • Work may require evening and weekend work
  • Valid US driver's license and safe driving history
