Under the direction of the Distribution Sales Manager, North America you are responsible for managing sales activities within a specified geographic region. This role includes developing and implementing sales strategies, managing relationships with distributors, and driving revenue growth. As a Regional Sales Manager, you will also oversee a team of sales representatives, ensuring they meet or exceed sales targets and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Execute regional sales plans and achieve or exceed quotas in line with business objectives.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the region.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and key customers.
  • Provide training, support, and performance management for distributors to ensure effective product sales.
  • Conduct regular customer visits to strengthen relationships and identify growth opportunities.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics, prepare forecasts, and submit reports to management.
  • Develop and manage regional sales budgets.
  • Gather and analyze market data, competitor activities, and industry trends to adjust sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with product strategy teams including product management, marketing, and business development to align offerings with customer needs and market conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Resolve customer issues promptly to ensure satisfaction and retention.


Skills, Education, and/or Experience

  • Education in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a regional sales manager or similar role preferred.
  • Familiarity CRM and sales software and tools preferred.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills required.
  • Negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Familiarity with the HVAC industry is an asset.
  • Organizational and time management skills required.
  • Previous experience with quality control and process improvement preferred.
  • Technical skills required for computers and tablets.
  • Able to work proficiently in a team-oriented setting, as well as independently.
  • Familiarity with Health and Safety guidelines.


Job Conditions

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and looking at a computer.
  • Light physical effort – able to lift up to 20lbs at times.
  • Must be able to travel a minimum of 50% to meet territory needs.


Work Environment:

  • Office Environment or in the Field (territory). At times, in Factory, Warehouse, and/or Distribution Center.
  • May incur frequent travel via air or ground within and potentially outside of a given territory. [JK2.1]
  • Will involve working outside regular business hours to meet with customers or attend trade shows and other events.
