Job description

Position Summary:

This position will provide supervision, guidance, motivation, and training for our dynamic workforce. The ability to meet both customer service standards and operational performance requirements in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Essential Functions:

  • Train, develop, and motivate staff to ensure efficient operations and maximum service
  • Work closely with line level supervisors regarding supervision and training of employees, including employee development, corrective action, and scheduling
  • Motivate employees to ensure productivity and quality goals are achieved
  • Coordinate the collection and analysis of operational data and provide detailed management reports on weekly, monthly and quarterly performance
  • Ensure company policies and processes are communicated, applied and enforced in a consistent and professional manner (i.e., accounting, operational, safety, regulatory and administrative)
  • Direct focus on our inventory departments: Receiving, Inventory Control and Breakdown
  • Other duties assigned, based on managers assessment of skill and performance

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience
  • Three to five years of progressive lead/supervisory experience in a consumer products distribution business
  • Experience with tracking, handling and managing inventory.ย  Extensive knowledge of systems and processes for receiving, quality control, inventory control, cycle counting, packaging and breakdown required.
  • Experience using MS Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with automated warehouse and inventory management systems is essential. Prior inventory management experience with ERPs, particularly Rootstock, preferred.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of staff and management

Work Environment: Temperature controlled warehouse environment in the range of 60 degrees to 80 degrees, and/or non-temperature-controlled warehouse environment in the range of 40 degrees to 90 degrees.
