Garaga is looking for a General Manager to lead its Distribution Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

In this role, you will take ownership of the distribution center’s day-to-day operations and overall performance. You will oversee warehouse and logistics activities, manage the P&L, lead and develop your team, drive continuous improvement, and build strong customer relationships. With an entrepreneurial mindset, you will also identify opportunities to improve profitability, grow revenue, and strengthen the distribution center’s performance.

Job Summary:
  • Start date: As soon as possible
  • Number of positions to fill: 1
  • Position: Full-time, Permanent
  • Compensation: Based on experience
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Location: Phoenix, AZ
  • Lead day-to-day distribution center operations, including receiving, inventory management, fulfillment, shipping, and delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs, scrap, and damage.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant facility in accordance with company and OSHA standards.
  • Take full ownership of the distribution center’s P&L and financial performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability through smarter workflows, resource planning, and operational improvements.
  • Support revenue growth through proactive customer engagement and sales outreach.
  • Use data and KPIs to monitor performance and make informed business decisions.
  • Recruit, coach, and lead warehouse, delivery, and office personnel.
  • Build a culture focused on accountability, safety, teamwork, and empowerment.
  • Mentor employees and develop future leaders within the team.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and act as the face of the Phoenix distribution center.
  • Work closely with the sales team to understand market dynamics, pricing, and customer needs.
  • Resolve customer concerns and help ensure a smooth, reliable delivery experience.
The Qualifications and Skills We Are Looking for in our Distribution Center General Manager:
  • Minimum 3 years of warehouse or distribution center management experience.
  • Experience managing budgets, P&L statements, and logistics operations.
  • Proven ability to motivate, lead, and develop teams in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience working directly with external customers.
  • Mechanically inclined with working knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • College degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Physical Demands

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume distribution environment.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse.
  • Ability to frequently lift 50 to 75 lbs.
  • Comfortable with frequent standing and manual work.
