Job description

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced E&C Engineer III to support mechanical and electrical engineering efforts for natural gas and thermal generation projects. You will play an important part in power plant design, construction support, and engineering oversight, working with teams to deliver high-quality energy infrastructure projects.

This is an onsite position based in Minneapolis, MN, with collaboration across engineering, project, and construction teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the design and engineering of thermal and natural gas power generation facilities, including combustion turbine plants
  • Provide engineering oversight during project execution, ensuring designs meet project requirements, safety standards, and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with project engineers, senior engineers, project managers, and construction managers throughout the project lifecycle
  • Review and validate technical drawings, specifications, and engineering deliverables
  • Help with construction support activities, including site visits, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to process and design improvements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • 8-10 years of experience in power generation, within power plant design, construction, owner/operator environments, or EPC firms
  • 5+ years of experience with combustion turbine plants and thermal generation systems
  • Comfortable working in construction environments and working with field teams
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required
  • Experience with instrumentation and controls is a plus (especially for electrical-focused candidates)
