Buffalo Trace Distillery is an American family-owned company based in Frankfort, Franklin County, Kentucky. The Distillery's rich tradition dates back to 1773 and includes such legends as E.H. Taylor, Jr., George T. Stagg, Albert B. Blanton, Orville Schupp, and Elmer T. Lee. 

Buffalo Trace Distillery is a fully operational Distillery producing bourbon, rye and vodka on site and is a National Historic Landmark as well as is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Distillery has won 17 distillery titles since 2000 from such notable publications as Whisky Magazine, Whisky Advocate Magazine and Wine Enthusiast Magazine. It was named "Brand Innovator of the Year" by Whisky Magazine at its Icons of Whisky America Awards 2015.  Buffalo Trace Distillery has also garnered more than 300 awards for its wide range of premium whiskies.  The distillery is part of the Sazerac family of companies.

Job Description/Responsibilities

At Buffalo Trace Distillery, we're always looking for skilled and motivated Production Team Members to join our team. Even if we don't have an immediate opening, we want to hear from you! This posting is part of our evergreen pipeline - a proactive way to connect with top talent for upcoming roles.

When a matching position opens, candidates from this talent pool will be the first to be reviewed and contacted.

Primary responsibilities include (however may not be limited to):

  • Assembling bottle components by hand: applying labels, inserting caps or corks, or placing bottles into cases
  • Material handling: loading bottles onto a production line, removing dunnage, or stacking cases onto a pallet
  • Operating bottling equipment through tooling adjustments, feeding components into magazines/hoppers, troubleshooting equipment errors, and monitoring production efficiencies
  • Inspecting bottle quality and repairing incorrect production
  • Maintaining a clean an organized work environment through routine sanitation efforts.

Physical requirements may include (however may not be limited to):

  • Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Pushing, pulling and/or climbing
  • Continuous standing and/or walking
  • Working in areas that are not temperature-controlled.

Qualifications/Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum education level of High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Proven stable, safe work history with excellent attendance record; minimum of one-year work experience
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd), including weekend overtime
