Job Summary


The Experienced Operator performs advanced production and inventory tasks across multiple operational areas, including blending, distillation, Treattarome processing, and stock control. This role requires technical proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting team objectives. Operators at this level may assist in training new staff, troubleshoot equipment issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This position will primarily support Stock Control.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Independently operate and monitor production equipment such as blending tanks, stills, and pumps.
  • Perform complex material handling tasks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other tools.
  • Conduct quality checks and document readings, measurements, and product specifications.
  • Dispense, label, and package products with precision and compliance to standards.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts using JDE or similar systems.
  • Support shipping and receiving operations, including staging and documentation.
  • Lead sanitation and cleaning procedures for equipment and work areas.
  • Identify and escalate equipment or process issues; assist in troubleshooting.
  • Mentor entry-level operators and support onboarding and cross-training efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, safety protocols, and operational standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications preferred.
  • 1โ€“3 years of experience in production, inventory, or logistics roles.
  • Forklift and Hazardous Materials certifications strongly preferred.


Skills & Competencies

  • Proficient in operating production equipment and handling materials safely.
  • Strong understanding of GMP, MSDS, and safety documentation.
  • Ability to perform measurements, conversions, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrated reliability, initiative, and commitment to quality.
  • Comfortable working in variable environments and flexible schedules.


Working Conditions

  • Production environment with exposure to temperature changes, noise, and wet conditions.
  • Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, kneeling, and prolonged standing.
  • Heights and Confined Spaces to cover any fear of heights and claustrophobia.
  • No travel required.
