Job description

HTS Engineering Ltd. is the largest independent commercial HVAC manufacturers' rep in North America, with 20 locations in the US and Canada. HTS has a vibrant look and brand promise -- one that reflects our company-wide commitment to ensure the individual success of all those involved in a project's HVAC system selection, design, purchase, installation and maintenance including our employees, suppliers, customers and end users.
We are looking for a senior field technician that has at least 5 years' experience or more with Siemens Desigo and/or Distech Controls or at a minimum Tridium/Niagara. We will not consider any candidates that don't have extensive knowledge of one of these three systems. He will need to be able to setup projects from the ground up and assist with start-up of complex system to include Air and Water systems. Needs to be able to write programs, understand control wiring, database creation, system graphics and would need a strong mechanical understanding. PLC, Manufacturing, Process controls experience is not applicable to this senior BAS position.
Senior controls technician:
Will be responsible for the design, configuration, and operation of a complete building control systems to meet the intent of the project documents or owner. Will develop complex systems programs, commissioning tests, and troubleshoot to ensure proper operations of the building control system. Must be able to provide detailed reports and submittals to communicate design and operation to customers, consultants, engineers, and other technicians.
• Designs and configures technically complex building control systems as defined by the contract documents. Able to create flow diagrams, sequence of operations, bill of material, network layouts and control schematics as required.
• Create and tests software programs necessary to operate the system per the intent of the project requirements.
• Coordinates the creation of necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
• Assists in the loading and commissioning of all system and network-level controllers as required. Assists in validation of complete system functionality and troubleshoots problems with subcontractors and other trades to ensure operation.
• Provides field change information to the project team for the creation of as-built drawings, software and change orders.
• Keeps Project Manager and contractors or customer informed of job progress and issues during the commissioning of the systems.
• Performs project training for owner and operators on the building control system.
• Continued training to maintain a high level of Tridium knowledge
• Continued training to maintain a high level of Siemens and Distech control systems
• N4 Certification required
