Position Purpose
As a Journeyman/Controls Electrician, you will be installing temperature and building automation control (BAS) systems on various customer jobsites. You will work within the LONG Building Intelligence (BI) Unit, which specializes in building automation and temperature control solutions.
Pay Range: $32.00 - $46.46 per hour, plus potential profit share.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties or tasks assigned as required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to:
  • Install controllers, field devices, electrical cable, conduit systems (EMT, GRC, PVC, etc.), copper tubing, and plastic tubing in a neat and skillful manner.
  • Stay familiar with installation materials and control devices, their function, use, and proper mounting & installation. 
  • Work independently and coordinate job installation and completion with onsite personnel but also ask for guidance before starting an unfamiliar task. 
  • Report discrepancies between LONG drawings and mechanical/control equipment onsite. 
  • Attend product training and information classes to maintain and enhance control knowledge. 
  • Update Blue Beam to capture changes in design.
  • Provide training and support to apprentice electricians.
  • Attend job site coordination meetings.
  • Other duties assigned.
Qualifications
  • Journeyman Electrical License 
  • Familiarity with building codes and safety standards
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics, all types of blueprints and DDC/BAS controls drawings.
  • Good mathematical skills 
  • Open to working overtime, varied shift hours, and travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Installation experience with Distech, Tridium, KMC, and other DDC/BAS controls. 
  • OSHA30
  • CPR/First Aid Certificate

Physical Requirements
  • This work may involve standing for extended periods, climbing ladders or scaffolds, and working in tight spaces.
  • This position may require lifting to 50 lbs. from floor to countertop and countertop to floor.
  • This position requires the ability to function at heights.
