Job description

Summary
Barry University's College of Health Professions and Medical Sciences- School of Nursing is seeking qualified PhD-prepared Adjunct Faculty to serve on student dissertation committees on an as-needed basis. This position supports doctoral nursing students through the research and dissertation process, contributing scholarly expertise and mentorship to uphold academic excellence.
This position is fully remote.
Essential Functions
  • Serve as a committee member or chair for PhD nursing student dissertations.
  • Provide guidance on research design, methodology, data analysis, and academic writing.
  • Review and provide timely, constructive feedback on dissertation proposals, drafts, and final documents.
  • Participate in dissertation defenses and committee meetings.
  • Collaborate with committee members and program leadership to ensure adherence to university and program standards.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Must hold a PhD in Nursing or a related field
  • Demonstrate experience in nursing research and graduate-level mentoring.
  • Maintain a commitment to academic integrity, scholarly excellence, and student success.
