What is a dispute manager?

A Dispute Manager is a professional responsible for overseeing and resolving conflicts or disagreements between parties, typically in financial, legal, or customer service settings. They analyze the details of each dispute, communicate with involved parties, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. Dispute Managers aim to find fair, timely solutions while minimizing risk and maintaining positive relationships. What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a dispute manager?

To thrive as a Dispute Manager, you need expertise in conflict resolution, financial analysis, and a solid understanding of relevant regulations, often supported by a degree in business, finance, or law. Familiarity with case management systems, payment processing platforms, and tools like Excel is typically required. Traeger Grills

Salt Lake City, UT

Full-time

Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement

Re-posted 16 hours ago

Job description

Welcome To The Traegerhood:

Our business is BBQ, and business tastes good. Traeger invented the wood pellet grill over 30 years ago, and we've been revolutionizing outdoor cooking ever since. We're a team of disruptors, innovators, problem solvers, and food fanatics who are dedicated to bringing people together to create a more flavorful world. From our headquarters in Salt Lake City and beyond, we work tirelessly to provide a world-class experience to our customers, retailers, and especially our employees. If you're a team player who's dedicated to delivering top-quality results every day, then we want you to come cook with us!

Who we are:

Key Account Operations Managers are senior members of the Retail Operations team, responsible for owning the full operational relationship with Traeger's largest and most complex retail partners - including big-box and home improvement leaders like Home Depot, ACE Hardware, and Walmart. These accounts demand mastery of high-volume order environments, large-format store programs, and the rigorous compliance standards that come with operating at national scale. Key Account Operations Managers don't just execute - they lead. They set the operational strategy for their accounts, anticipate systemic risks, and drive cross-functional alignment to protect and grow Traeger's presence across thousands of store locations.

How You'll Help Us Win:

  • Own end-to-end order execution for Traeger's largest retail accounts, managing high-volume PO flows with precision and strong EDI performance across thousands of store locations.
  • Lead OTIF strategy for enterprise accounts, identifying systemic risks and driving cross-functional resolution before issues reach the floor - at a scale and speed that larger retailers demand.
  • Serve as the primary operational lead and senior point of contact for key big-box retail partners, including Home Depot, Lowe's, and Walmart, building deep institutional knowledge of each account's programs, systems, and expectations.
  • Navigate the operational complexity of large-format retail: seasonal resets, bay expansions, national promotions, and high-SKU assortments across diverse store footprints.
  • Own vendor compliance at enterprise scale - managing intricate routing guides, packaging mandates, store-level delivery requirements, and retailer-specific compliance programs with zero margin for error.
  • Drive chargeback reduction and deduction management for high-deduction accounts, building structured dispute workflows and partnering with Finance to protect gross margin.
  • Partner with Sales leadership, Demand Planning, and Supply Chain to align large-account forecasts, seasonal buys, and promotional volume - ensuring supply can meet the scale of these commitments.
  • Deliver executive-ready reporting on order performance, compliance scorecards, OTIF trends, and chargeback status to internal stakeholders and retail partners alike.
  • Identify and lead operational improvement initiatives - from automating manual workflows to building scalable processes that can handle the complexity of a 2,000+ store rollout.
  • Operate as a strategic partner to the Sales team, providing operational insight that supports account negotiations, program expansion, and retailer relationship health.
  • Maintain flexibility to support account needs across time zones and retailer business cadences, including early-morning availability for East Coast retailer operations teams.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • 5+ years of experience in retail account operations or order management, with direct experience supporting large-format or big-box retailers such as Home Depot, ACE Hardware, or Walmart.
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume, high-complexity order environments - including multi-SKU assortments, national store programs, and peak-season surges.
  • Deep familiarity with big-box retail operations: vendor portals (e.g., Retail Link, Supplier Hub), routing guides, store-level compliance requirements, and retailer scorecards.
  • Strong chargeback management experience, including dispute workflows, root cause analysis, and deduction reduction strategy at meaningful scale.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and large-dataset analysis; experience with BI or reporting tools is a plus.
  • Experience with ERP and EDI systems in a high-volume retail supply chain environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills - able to manage competing demands across multiple large accounts without losing precision or accountability.
  • Strong communicator and cross-functional collaborator, comfortable presenting performance data and operational strategy to senior internal and external stakeholders.

Why You Will Love To Work Here:

  • Be part of the most disruptive force in outdoor cooking
  • Join a true team working towards a common goal
  • Culture of risk-taking, innovation & quality
  • So.Much.Food.
  • Full medical/dental/vision packages to fit your needs
  • 401K to help you plan for the future
  • Tuition reimbursement
  • Great discounts on all things Traeger
  • Did we mention all the food?
