Job description

Our 250+ local customer service centers (CSCs) are supported by regional operations teams located throughout North America.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
LEADERSHIP
  • Collaborates with company leaders to understand overall business goals and creates a CSC operating plan to support these objectives.
  • Ensures the CSC is a "customer-centric" team that is focused on building strong and effective partnerships with local businesses, vendors, other CSCs and corporate teams which focuses on top-quality service.
  • Recruits, selects, trains, coaches and counsels CSC employees in an effort to best resource the CSC to meet schedules and goals.
  • Develops CSC plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges as guided by the Regional Manager and company standard operating procedures and policies.
  • Communicates company values, strategies and objectives in an effort to share information and while encouraging feedback and input.
  • Directs, coaches and develops CSC staff including Operations Supervisor, Dispatcher, Router, Office Administrator, Driver Maintenance, Charter Coordinator and Safety Supervisor to obtain the required skills and abilities to act independently in their job assignments.
  • Builds company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees while demonstrating strong and ethical business practices.
  • Coordinates start-up of assigned new contracts.
  • Provides expertise in utilization of automated systems and other Company software.
  • Exhibits the highest ethical best practices and personal integrity; Shares concerns about suspicious or inappropriate behavior with their supervisor or manager.
  • Other duties as assigned

SAFETY
  • Monitors and evaluates CSCs to ensure a safe environment while providing a high quality of service.
  • Identifies key safety issues affecting the safety of passengers and employees and takes corrective action to resolve these concerns to ensure the SCS performs to expected levels and standards.
  • Promotes commitment to the Company's risk management and quality programs which encourages quality service, safety and housekeeping awareness at all employee levels.
  • Guides CSC personnel in how to handle crisis situations to maintain the Company's service standard.

CUSTOMER RELATIONS
  • Meets with school district administrators to review service quality and performance.
  • Enhances and builds on current customer relationships to ensure customer retention.
  • Aggressively pursues new business opportunities (tuck-ins, commercial charter, shuttles, etc.) in the local market.
  • Builds strong relationships to provide high-level support and advice to internal and external stakeholders.

FINANCIAL
  • Responsible for knowledge of CSC contracts, finances and operational requirements.
  • Review budgets and develop the annual operating plan business review.
  • Develop short and long-range business plans to increase incremental business, revenues and margins.
  • Employs strong negotiation skills to support renewal and retention of customer contracts.
  • Approve all expenditures in accord with company guidelines.

The salary range is $100,000 - $120,000 annually.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, management or related field or 10-12 years of comparable experience; MBA preferred
  • Years of Work Experience: At least 3 years of supervisory experience and P&L oversight
  • Ability to travel up to 90%
  • Responds appropriately to unanticipated events to ensure excellence in customer service.
  • Practices sound analytical and problem solving skills to expeditiously identify, analyze and resolve emergent issues
  • Investigates claims and incidents of questionable conduct, accidents etc.
  • Displays effective oral and written communication skills to promote quality services to existing and potential customers
