Job description

Fire Protection Dispatcher

Heritage Fire Security  |  Hackensack, NJ

Do you know your way around backflows, fire sprinklers, and fire alarms? Do you speak "technician"? Heritage Fire Security wants to talk to you.

We're a growing national fire and life-safety company headquartered in Hackensack, NJ, and we're looking for a sharp, organized, high-energy Fire Protection Dispatcher who can hit the ground running. This isn't your average desk job — you'll be the quarterback managing service jobs from the moment they come in until the invoice goes out the door.

What You'll Do

• Dispatch inspection, service, and repair work to our nationwide network of qualified subcontractors • Manage every job cradle-to-grave — scheduling, follow-up, paperwork, deficiency quotes, closeout, and invoicing • Coordinate backflow testing, fire sprinkler inspections, fire alarm testing, and repair work across multiple states • Communicate professionally with property managers, building owners, AHJs, and technicians • Chase down reports, certifications, and required documentation until every file is buttoned up • Keep the schedule tight and the customers happy

What We Need From You

Real experience working with fire protection or backflow technicians — you understand the trade, the lingo, and the paperwork • Familiarity with fire sprinkler, fire alarm, and/or backflow inspection and service workflows • Dispatch, scheduling, or service-coordinator background (fire, HVAC, plumbing, or similar trades all count) • Strong phone presence and clean written communication • Comfortable juggling 20+ open jobs without dropping a ball • Computer-fluent — email, spreadsheets, service software, PDFs • Self-starter who takes ownership and doesn't wait to be told twice

What's In It For You

• Competitive pay based on experience • Steady, year-round work with a company that's growing fast • Supportive team that respects the trades and rewards results • Real responsibility from day one — no micromanaging, no corporate nonsense • Room to grow as Heritage Fire Security expands nationally • Convenient Hackensack location with easy access from Bergen, Passaic, Essex, and Hudson counties

To Apply

Reply to this ad with:

1. A short note about your fire protection / backflow experience 2. Your resume (or a quick rundown of your work history) 3. Best phone number and times to reach you

Serious inquiries only. If you know the difference between a wet system and a dry system, a double-check and an RPZ, or a Class A and Class C alarm panel — you're already ahead.

Heritage Fire Security — Hackensack, NJ. Let's build something great. Apply today.
